The holidays are a great time to reflect on the year that has almost reached it’s finish, to enjoy good times with your family, and (as this story relates too) give back to the community and help out your fellow community members. Lois Crowley, and other members of the community are doing great things for the kids and folks who live here. If you’re looking for a nice holiday story click on the following link “Happy Holiday Story” and read a great article written by Jack Dodson of the Ellsworth American.
It may not have been the sunniest day, but it was still a great day for lobster boat racing. There was some fun out on the water for sure. If you haven’t seen a lobster boat race you can get a chance next year as well. There’s one every year on the second Saturday in August. The sun came out soon after and the Lobster feast, Craft Fair, Parade, Ice Cream eating contest, and Fireworks were an amazing success. Pencil in this event for next year if you can!
