Please join us for a very special artist’s reception on August 4th at 7:00 PM to celebrate the opening night of Christopher S. Tietjen’s The Acadia Series: 2014-2017 exhibition at the Schoodic Institute (Moore Auditorium). Christopher S. Tietjen is a Philadelphia based, internationally collected artist who has been exploring and interpreting Maine’s coastal landscapes for over a decade. The Acadia Series: 2014-2017 is the culmination of thousands of hours of dedicated plein-air work, exhibited at the source of his inspiration, Acadia National Park. (www.ChristopherTietjen.com). The evening’s program will include a welcome reception with drinks and desserts, a lecture presentation by the award-winning artist; an audience Q&A moderated by Tietjen’s friend and collector, Laura Cutler; and remarks by President and CEO of the Schoodic Institute, Mark Berry. A percentage of sales will benefit the Schoodic Institute’s mission “to advance ecosystem science and learning for all ages through a unique partnership with Acadia National Park.” No registration is required, but you are encouraged to please RSVP by July 21st to JessicaLager@gmail.com. Event is free and open to the public.
